I have arrived!

I've finally made it to London. And it wasn't easy. After a summer slaving away at work and flight problems and delays and money problems and on and on and on, I can be glad that I'm here and that London is totally worth all of that!
Today is my first day here in London; my flight got into Heathrow at about 2:00 London time. I met up with Kat, and then we took the Underground to South Kensington where our centre is and where we are currently residing in a hostel. We can't check in to the Lawrence Centre until Friday, and we decided to come early and hang out in the area.
The hostel is actually very nice. It's my first stay at one, and I'm surprised by how clean it is and how friendly the staff is. It's also in a really nice location, right in the heart of South Kensington, only a few blocks from the Centre.
Anway, after briefly checking out the hostel, Kat and I decided to wander around the neighborhood. We managed to misread our map several times, which resulted in us walking on nearly every street in the area, without making it to our target destination of Hyde Park. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. And now we know where cool places are, as well as where the closest grocery store and laundry mat are, so that's good.
We came back around 7 or so to eat a delicious meal (PB&J) and just chill out, as we are both exhausted from airports, plane rides, lugging suitcases, and epic walks. I think we are going to check out a movie night in the hostel kitchen in just a few, and then probably pass out.
